Projects on the Go

Forum: Crochet Talk

How many projects do you currently have on the go - included those “tucked away and almost forgotten” projects AND the ones you have the yarn for but haven’t started crocheting yet.

I ask because …. my daughter picked up the HUGE PILE of hats that I had made and took them home for the kids to wear. My little corner now looks empty…. and I’m thinking about all the different versions of hats that would be fun to make … and some projects that I’d like for myself.. and wouldn’t it be nice if I could actually sell some of my creations and pay for the yarn! And ….

So what is my tally at the moment?
1. a shawl I am making (for myself, in theory .. as long as it looks nice on)
2. an afghan (the one I found a few months ago, half finished from a decade ago, and was the inspiration to get crocheting again, and now still sits unfinished)
3. the tons of leftover yarn from my “tree of life” afghan that should go into another afghan: torn between doing a crocodile stitch one and the log cabin, which I’d need a 3rd colour, I think, which means more shopping (big grin) and thus doesn’t count as “on the go”)

On the “request list”
1. another “mountain man hat” and a matching child’s version
2. another minion hat — someone had asked about them, and I don’t particularly like the one I made so I need to make a second version

Debbie (life & crocheting have a lot in common: it's all about one stitch at a time.)

Debbie Pribele ...

(chuckling at the washcloth)… I’m sure there is a very good reason that it wasn’t finished!! :)
And that is quite the list you have going.

MandaPanda ...

I’m exhausted just looking at it.

Off the top of my head..
1. Blanket I started probably over a year ago..
2. A blanket a started a couple of months back (theres about 12 rows left to do, then the border..)
3. A cardigan for my niece (I keep going wrong on the sleeves and it’s put me off!)
4. A Dress I started for my niece, then realised my gauge was WAAAY off and would fit a baby rather than a 3 year old!
5. A stuffed Amigurumi heart that I don’t even know when I started!
7. Bedside table toppers (If that makes sense!) -I’m sick of having tea stains on Bens side!
8. A pair of Fingerless gloves for my grandad – I have decided I will finish them before he comes round Saturday…hopefully!
9. A blanket I started for my mum, and I really hope to get it done some time in the future! I have started one before, but didn’t like it, so it never got finished!

I have many ‘dream’ projects, but something I REALLY want to do is a big crochet doily for my mums table, It’s quite a posh table for us and I think the doily will make it look loads better!

Debbie Pribele ...

another ambitious list!!!
I look forward to seeing the gloves this weekend :)

Amie Jane ...

I now realise I didn’t mention the top I’m working on! I think I have a WIP Problem…
It will be finished this evening though – only two more rows to do! Yay!
