Hello All!

Forum: Introduce Yourself

I’m brand new to this community and so far I’ve only been on one other forum, so please be gentle! I’ve been trying to get a business running for the past couple years – sooo much learning to do – and I’ve found there are wonderful people out there to inspire, teach, encourage, and to learn from. I certainly hope this is one of those sites!

Welcome to the community.
Best wishes for your business. I’d love to hear more about your business goals.

Thank you! My business goals – simply put, to sell patterns. I don’t have fashion or fiber art background (I came from graphic design), so I’m going rather slow. I love making scarves because I can play with stitches without having to commit to a large size or having to deal with fitting/sizing a garment. I am bucking the trend though, because I love lace, so I’m trying to develop decorative/accent scarves versus scarves for warmth. I also want to expand a little (maybe a poncho, table runner, kitchen sets?) but we’ll see. If you go to my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TheCrochetedButterfly/?ref=hl and go into the beginning years you’ll see a review of my work – initially I was going to sell product. My patterns are available at http://www.bonanza.com/booths/crochetedbutterfly. All I know for sure is that this business is sooo much more involved than I ever thought, and balancing crochet time, the social media to promote the business, and life’s chores is really tough, especially when all you want to do is crochet! BTW, your Tunisian in the round afghan is gorgeous!

I thanks.
My tip: forget housework. Haha works for me :)
Yes, the business end of thing takes up a lot of time

I pretty much let the housework go, until the cat hair dust bunnies start chasing me…
