Taylor the Turtle

Taylor was designed after my granddaughter JJ wanted an amigurumi turtle.

We cruised Pinterest and she found one that she loved which led to a pattern on Ravelry, but the end result was totally disappointing. The turtle didn’t look anything at all like the picture on Pinterest – as a matter of fact it looked more like a footstool with a turtle head!

I’ll be releasing the pattern for Taylor shortly after the first of the year (January 2017) – after I get the pattern cleaned up and ready for others. You’ll be able to find it on my website – http://www.fancifulthings.biz/patterns/ or in my Ravelry shop – http://www.ravelry.com/designers/nancy-smyth

Taylor was made using Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton and a size F hook.

The “shell” can be removed and another put in place.

Yarns: hobby lobby i love this cotton

Stitches: single crochet double crochet half double crochet slip stitch
