My name is Roma, nickname is "SweetARoma". I love to crochet. I was taught to crochet by a lady in my church when I was 12 years old. I like learning new patterns and stitches. My husband supports my crocheting and often helps me select yarn. He was a paint contractor for 30 years and chooses color well.

I crochet to keep my hands limbered up because of arthritis and fibromyalgia. When I am crocheting, it seems to minimize the pain. I enjoy making afghans, slippers, bookmarks, hats, baby items, & lately, I love making fingerless gloves! I wear them around the house to keep the chill off my hands.

I also enjoy writing poetry/songs, and singing Southern Gospel music. I have 12 songs with a copyrite. I have sung at many outdoor Spring or Fall Festivals, as well as in churches, for weddings, and even funerals. I enjoy being a Christian and singing the gospel message. Music seems to soothe the soul and bring peace.

I also love to cook and bake. I collect recipes and recipe books. I like to make pumpkin rolls in the fall, and nut rolls for Christmas. Making Christmas cookies is always a favorite!!

Looking forward to making new friends and learning new skills. I am enjoying reading the profiles on here. It's exciting to find out what captivates others interest. There are so many Artisans out there! So much talent to be used creating beautiful things for everyone to enjoy.

Littlesnickerdud ...

Hi thanks for following. I’m new just started and taught myself through the videos on the computer. My hands ached the first month but they are now limbered up lol.

The videos are great! My hand tend to ache all the time, but at least I feel that I have something to show for it. Especially when I sit in a Dr.’s office for a couple of hours……so, yep, I crochet. Usually something small, like a granny square for a slipper pattern that I love to make. It sure helps the time to pass!
